Livinston start the season where they want to end the season. Livingston travel to start their season at the national stadium as they take on Queen's Park in the ALBA Cup. They will be travelling with a degree of confidence after securing three wins and two draws in their pre-season games. Manager Gary Bollan, who led his team to the Third Division title last season, is feeling optimistic about their chance as the club have a good record at Hampden. Bollan said: "You couldn't ask for a finer stadium in which to begin a new campaign. There has been a good edge to our play but competitive games will bring out the best in our squad."Bollan has augmented his Championship-winning squad by adding goalkeeper Tony Bullock, striker Iain Rusell, winger Aaron Conway and defender Michael O'Byrne. Tjis is counterbalanced by the departure of Roddy McKenzie and Danny Griffin. Joe Hamill's future in yellow and black appears to have been resolved with the former Tynecastle player being involved in all the summer friendlies. Bollan went on: "He will be a really important figure for us this year. He can be a real force in midfield." Livi's season continues with a home friendly against Scottish Cup winners Dundee United next Wednesday, followed by an away trip to face Scottish Cup runners-up Ross County in the first round of the Co-op Insurance League Cup next Saturday.
