Rayo Vallecano could benefit from Rangers financial woes as they are interested in signing Rangers forward Sone Aluko whose contract is up at the end of the season. A number of clubs are thought to be monitoring Aluko's situation and Spanish side Vallecano are hoping to steal a march on their rivals by landing the Nigerian. Rayo claim they have already spoken to the player's representatives about a possible move to Spain at the end of the season. Their spokeman said: "A Rayo Vallecano official was in Glasgow on Tuesday holding contract talks with Sone Aluko's agent. We believe Aluko has all the qualities to play in La Liga."
