Goalkeepers are blamed for so many results that it is good to see one recognised for doing his job well. Praise has been heaped on Wasps goalkeeper David Crawford by manager Allan Maitland for managing to achieve one of his targets for the season with just over half of the games played. The former Queen’s Park and Dumbarton 'keeper secured his fourteenth shut-out of the season against Arbroath of the weekend to reach the target set back last summer. Maitland said: "David has now had 14 shutouts this season and that is a massive improvement from a team that lost 55 goals last season. It is always said if you have a shut-out you have a chance and our goalkeeper deserves praise for getting fourteen so far as in some games he has not been particularly busy and needs to keep his concentration levels up."
