All Work And No Play Does Not A Happy Squad Make

Albion Rovers manager Paul Martin offers a carrot instead of a stick for losing on Saturday. Albion Rovers may not have done the business at the weekend, as they got beaten 3-1 by East Stirling but that did not stop manager Paul Martin surprising his squad by telling them to take a few days off from football as they have deserved it. Martin is hoping that the unexpected R&R spell will pay dividends when the squad reassemble later this week for preparations for Saturday's game.Martin said, “The players have done fantastically well to have Rovers still in contention for a play-off place. We have had eight games since the beginning of March and spending a few days with their families over Easter will do the players more good than training on Easter Monday and Tuesday night. We will get back together on Thursday night to prepare for Elgin on Saturday." Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba.net)Admin Team (admin@scottishfitba.net) This is Scottish-Fitba.Net
