All Change At Links Park

New managers always have new plans for how the squad should be made up. Newly appointed Montrose manager Ray Farningham has released seven played from the Third Division side as he begins to re-shape his Links Park squad for next season.  Looking for new clubs will be goalkeeper Ramiro Gonzalez, last season’s top goalscorer Paul Tosh, Nicky Smith, Conor Thomson, Fraser Milligan and Chris Hegarty. There are two other departures as club captain Hugh Davidson has already announced his retirement from the game after more than 5 years as a Gable Endie, and Ross McCord has returned to Dundee United after a season long loan.  Farningham has signed Sean Crighton and Jonathan Crawford on new one year contracts and deals have been offered to Terry Masson, Martin Boyle, Aaron Sinclair, Douglas Cameron, Daryl Nicol and Gordon Pope. It may not be possible for Pope to take up the offer he wants to play closer to his Ayrshire home. Forward Sean Pierce who signed as an amateur in March from Port Glasgow Juniors has been offered a professional contract.
