Albion Rovers must be doing something right in guiding players back to developing their careers Livingston have signed Mick O’Byrne from Albion Rovers to boost their squad for next season. The Third Division Champions made their move for the centre back just ahead of a pack of interested parties. Despite his loss Coatbridge boss Paul Martin is delighted for both the player and his club. Martin said: “I am delighted that Mick has earned a move to full time football as he has worked hard over the past year. He came to us 12 months ago with his confidence low after being given a free from Dumbarton but he had a great season and had a number of clubs chasing him.”O’Byrne will link-up with former Rovers team-mate Bobby Barr at Livingston which shows just what the Coatbridge club can do in terms of reviving career. Martin went on: “Both Bobby and Mick came to us on a bit of a downer but by playing regularly with the Rovers they got their careers going again. That shows that they can take two steps forward after taking a step back in the right environment.” Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)Admin Team (admin@scottishfitba net)This is Scottish-Fitba Net
