Dick Campbell is not one to forget a decent player.

Forfar have raided their rivals to to prepare for the season ahead. Brechin City midfielder Charlie King and Arbroath striker Gavin Swankie have agreed to join the Loons. Former St Johnstone and Livingston player King supplied guile to the Glebe Park midfield for the last 11 years after originally being signed for the City men by current Forfar manager Dick Campbell. King was given a testimonial by Brechin before being released at the end of last season and he has agreed a one year deal with his new club. Striker Swankie was in his third spell as a Gayfield player and he also had spells at Dundee and St. Johnstone and he has agreed a two year deal with the Station Park side. Just 12 months ago Swankie was voted as the SFL Third Division Player of the Year when his goals helped Arbroath win their first League championship. Campbell said: "Both of these signings are great pieces of business by Forfar. When I heard Charlie was not being made an offer I was determined to get him here and when Gavin was also available I decided to go for the double. I am sure they will both add a great deal of value to our squad."
