Schalke loan Ghana midfielder Annan to Vitesse

German Cup holders Schalke 04 announced on Monday that they have loaned Ghanaian international midfielder Anthony Annan to Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem on a year-long deal.
The 25-year-old joined Schalke in January from Norwegian side Rosenborg, with whom he won two league titles.
However, Annan - whose contract with Schalke runs till June 2014 - has made just nine Bundesliga appearances for the Royal Blues.
Annan has won more than 40 caps for Ghana and was a member of the squad that reached the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations final and the World Cup quarter-finals.
