Schalke in market to sign Hoarau

Ambitious Schalke are keen to sign Paris St Germain striker Guillaume Hoarau despite landing Real Madrid legend Raul earlier in the week.

L'Equipe reports that the Bundesliga outfit are lining up a Euros 10million for the 26-year-old Frenchman, who has scored 26 goals in 63 appearances for PSG since joining the club two years ago.

Schalke are in the market for a targetman after selling Kevin Kuranyi to Dinamo Moscow earlier in the summer.

They finished second in the Bundesliga last term, five points adrift of champions Bayern Munich.
