Rafinha heads to Genoa

Genoa have completed their seventh signing of the summer, bringing in highly-rated Brazilian wing-back Rafinha from German club Schalke.

The 24-year-old was heavily linked with Juventus 12 months ago, but has now opted to head to Genoa, penning a five-year contract with the ambitious Serie A outfit.

Rafinha joins Luca Toni, Eduardo, Andrea Ranocchia, Chico, Franco Zuculini and Miguel Veloso in the arrivals lounge at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

The right-sided player has spent the last five seasons with Schalke, making more than 150 appearances in all competitions.
