Schalke coach Felix Magath has hinted that his side's faltering Bundesliga title bid is effectively over following their 4-2 defeat at Hannover.
The Royal Blues have slipped to back-to-back defeats to league leaders Bayern and a struggling Hannover outfit and after the latest disappointment Magath suggested a place in the Champions League is now a more realistic goal.
"Hannover deserved to win," he said.
"Neither against Bayern nor today have we shown the will to win that you need to win the title.
"But we still have a good chance of qualifying for the Champions League, so we have to forget about this game now, talk about what we did wrong and turn things around in the game against Gladbach."
