Magath: Raul will be a sensation

Schalke coach Felix Magath believes Raul will be a "sensation" should he sign for the Bundesliga club.

Real Madrid's all-time leading goalscorer is out of contract this summer and is believed to have been told he is free to leave by new coach Jose Mourinho.

Schalke have been linked with a move for the 33-year-old striker throughout the summer and Magath believes he finally beginning to close the net.

"He will be a sensation in the Bundesliga," Magath told Bild.

"He will be an important player for us and will give a lot to the team."
