Kuranyi committed to Schalke

Schalke striker Kevin Kuranyi has dropped a strong hint that he will remain at the Veltins Arena.

Kuranyi, 27, is out of contract at the Gelsenkirchen club at the end of the season and has been linked with moves to England during the current transfer window.

However, the striker has revealed he is happy at Schalke and keen to extend his contract with the Bundesliga club.

"I try not to get involved in it too much," he said of his contract situation. "I want to have success with Schalke. We are in a very good situation at the moment.

"I have already had success here for three-and-a-half years and have also experienced difficult situations, but I feel good here and I am of course committed heart and soul to Schalke."
