Keeper crisis rocks Schalke

Schalke are facing a goalkeeping crisis after Mathias Schober joined fellow shot-stopper Manuel Neuer on the injured list.

The Bundesliga club may be forced to field teenage keeper Ralf Fahrmann in Saturday's Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund and next Tuesday's UEFA Cup trip to Cyprus to face APOEL Nicosia.

Neuer broke a bone in his foot more than two months ago while Schober tore a muscle in his left calf in training on Monday.

"Mathias will definitely be out for several weeks," confirmed team doctor Bernd Brexendorf.
