Huntelaar available this summer

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar could be available for around £17m after the Schalke boss Horst Heldt has claimed the hit-man has a buy-out clause.

Huntelaar, who has been tracked by Manchester United for years now, has netted 48 goals in 47 games this season. After big moves to Real Madrid and AC Milan Huntelaar struggled to recreate his Ajax form and managed 15 league goals in 45 appearances for both sides combined.

However, at Schalke in the Bundesliga he has recreated this form and is now rumoured to be on the move this summer. United have been linked with the Dutchmen in the past along with Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal. Schalke boss has stated that if someone meets the 28-year-old's release clause he could leave the club.

"Huntelaar does have a €20m buyout clause, and the rich club can afford it," Heldt told Bild.

"Klaas Jan has always stressed he wants to be a champion. This can only be with Real or Barcelona in Spain. I do not think he wants to go there."
