Agent cool on Rafinha future

The agent of in-demand Schalke wing-back Rafinha has played down speculation that his client is bound to leave the Bundesliga club this month.

The 24-year-old Brazilian is a rumoured target for a number of clubs both in Germany and abroad, but Naor Malaquias is not certain that his client will move on.

He told Calciomercato.it: "I don't know if Rafinha will leave Schalke in January, it depends on the club.

"He is settled in Germany and his relationship with (coach) Felix Magath is well again after that misunderstanding over the Christmas break.

"Then again, it's evident that a host of top European clubs are after him.

"But it's hard for Juventus and AC Milan to sign him in January because Rafinha does not have a double citizenship and it seems to me that both Italian teams have no room left for non-EU players.

"Is Rafinha worth 14 million euros? I think that's too big a fee for a player who has a year-and-a-half left on his deal."
