      Saudis aim to impress

      06 Jun 2006 - 17:02:49

Several of Saudi Arabia's World Cup finals squad are hoping to impress in Germany and earn moves back to Europe after the competition.

Striker Yaser Al-Kahtani and goalkeeper Mohammad Khojah have both admitted to being keen to try their luck in European club football in the near future.

Al-Kahtani said: "Of course I want to play in Europe. I hope it happens.

"The World Cup is the largest market for soccer in the world. We'll try to bring glory to the team and country first and achieve something for the history books to remember us."

Khojah added: "At least seven to eight players said they wanted to play professionally outside Saudi Arabia. We spoke about this among us.

"We even got advice from the more experienced players. Everyone is excited about the prospects of playing club football in Europe."
