Semioli seals Samp switch

Sampdoria have completed the signing of Franco Semioli after a string of offers to Fiorentina for the winger.

Samp made no secret of their chase for the player and confirmed that they had reached an agreement to sign him from their Serie A rivals on their official website.

"U.C Sampdoria announced to to have signed a definite contract, from the Associazione Calcio Fiorentina, the sports rights of the player Franco Semioli," read a statement.

"The right winger will take the number 77 and will be presented tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon."

It is thought that Sampdoria paid around five million euros for the 29-year-old.
