Samp warning over Cassano

Sampdoria have warned Juventus off making an approach for Antonio Cassano.

The controversial Italy striker is reported to be on the summer transfer list of the Turin giants following his successful rehabilitation during 18 months at the Luigi Ferraris.

But president Riccardo Garrone insists Samp have no plans to let the former AS Roma and Real Madrid star leave.

"Cassano is courted by many sides, including Juve," he said. "Evidently, I am not the only one to be in love with him.

"His behaviour has improved considerably. He is now a model for everyone and we are willing to keep hold of him.

"He is staying with us. He is a great player, a wonderful lad and an important player for Samp."
