Del Neri unfazed with squad

Sampdoria coach Luigi del Neri has admitted that his squad lacks strength in depth but he isn't letting it bother him.

The Blucerchiati tactician is confident that he will be allowed to make new signings ahead of the new season and with the transfer window closing in less than a fortnight, he will be looking to act quickly.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "The club is aware that we are short in a few departments, but I'm not worried given that there is still a while until the August 30 deadline."

Sampdoria travel to Sicily on the opening day of the new Serie A season to face Catania next weekend.
