Del Neri cool over top spot

Sampdoria coach Luigi Del Neri refused to get carried away after seeing his side take over at the top of Serie A thanks to a 1-0 home win over reigning champions Internazionale.

Giampaolo Pazzini's goal proved enough for the Genoese, but Del Neri was reading little into his side's latest fine result.

He said: "We will enjoy this moment, but we are not interested in the concept of being top of the table.

"It is above all wonderful to just have the small satisfactions in life.

"I believe a great deal in this team and the work they do. It is a moment we need to enjoy and push to get the best that we can."
