Italy striker Antonio Cassano has completed a permanent move from Real Madrid to Sampdoria.
The controversial striker scored ten goals in 22 appearances for the Genoa club last season after joining on a year-long loan from Madrid.
The 25-year-old surprise inclusion in the Azzurri squad for Euro 2008 has agreed a five-year contract at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris following an unhappy 18-month spell in Spain.
"I am very happy. I am now officially a Sampdoria player and to be honest this has always been my desire," said Cassano.
"I refused a lot of money and have taken a big pay cut but this doesn't matter.
"What's more important is that I can continue doing well with serenity and to feel good with myself."
