Lokomotiv Moscow defender Roman Shishkin will miss the Euro-2012 championships after suffering a bout of acute poisoning, Russia manager Dick Advocaat told the press Thursday.

"Shishkin has left the team," Advocaat said.

"His stomach problems deepened. He started to lose weight and will definitely be unable to play at the European championship."

"We will not call any new defenders in our squad," the coach added.

Advocaat added that he would announce Russia's final squad to play at the Euro-2012 after the friendly match with Uruguay on Friday.

There are 24 players remaining at Advocaat's disposal after Shishkin's departure.

Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Magomed Ozdoyev is the most likely candidate for exclusion from the squad's line-up.
