    Warrington eyes quick return

    28 Nov 2008 - 12:14:08

Rotherham United goalkeeper Andy Warrington is upbeat about the prospects of making a quicker than expected return to action following a shoulder injury.

The 32-year-old former Doncaster Rovers stalwart was thought to be facing around two months on the sidelines, but Warrington hopes to be back in half that time.

He told the Sheffield Star: "I got told I'd be out for two months, but to be honest I'm hoping to be back after a month.

"I'm still training hard, working on my technique, although I can't do any diving.

"My shoulder doesn't feel too bad and hopefully the ligaments will heal quickly. I want to get back playing as quickly as possible.

"It's just one of those things unfortunately. I fell awkwardly, I pile-drove the floor and my shoulder took the full force of the fall."
