Robins rages at O'Grady
03 Apr 2008 - 09:12:54
Striker Chris O'Grady looks set to leave Rotherham United after refusing to agree to a wage deferral along with the rest of his team-mates.
The 22-year-old missed the weekend defeat at Morecambe and failed to report for training on Monday, before being ordered to appear in a reserve team game on Tuesday.
Millers boss Mark Robins told the Sheffield Star: "He has kicked his team-mates in the teeth and also the fans who have supported him.
"He has been looked after here like royalty, on and off the field, and then this happens.
"He is under contract at this football club and was ordered to report for the reserve team game.
"I will not let this club be walked all over if I can help it and I shall try and do the best I can and ensure that no-one takes advantage of the club in its current predicament."
Meanwhile, the club's administrator has revealed there are eight consortia who have expressed an interest in taking over at Millmoor.
The cash-strapped Millers slipped into administration for the second time in 18 months in March.
