Rotherham United boss Mark Robins was delighted with his side's performance in the 1-0 victory over Blackpool, which lifted the Millers off the foot of the League One table.
Chris O'Grady's close-range finish on the hour sent the Millers above Brentford and Robins was pleased to see his players show some fighting spirit.
He told the club's official website: "I thought the first half was a little scrappy, but they didn't cause us that many problems.
"The second-half performance was a lot better, we spoke at half-time about being more confident and putting passes into the right areas and they went out and did that.
"It looked like the belief was starting to come back into our game and that was the most pleasing thing to come out of the match.
"We held firm, we deserved to win and could have had one or two more goals."
