Robins earns manager award

Rotherham United boss Mark Robins has been named as the League Two Manager of the Month for August. The Millers started the season with a massive 17-point deduction due to financial problems, but have already wiped ten points off that penalty in their bid to avoid relegation from the Football League. Robins' side started the campaign with a 1-0 home win over Lincoln City, before recording 3-1 successes at Morecambe and at home to Chester City. Their first dropped points came in a goalless draw at Brentford last weekend. Rotherham have also won through to round three of the Carling Cup with penalty shootout wins over Championship sides Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves.
