Rotherham United boss Mark Robins has denied making a bid in excess of £100,000 for Peterborough United striker Liam Hatch.
Hatch has been linked with a number of League Two clubs after netting seven times in 18 appearances while on loan at Darlington this season.
"I'm not going to say I haven't spoken with certain people about certain players but no offer by me or, to my knowledge by Rotherham United, has been lodged with any club." Robins told The Star.
"I have made an inquiry about a certain player at a certain club but I regard these as private conversations or, if taken any further, private business dealings.
"Of course we are interested in players and I'm not going to say I haven't spoken to certain people about particular players becoming available.
"That will remain so. But I do not do business in public."
