Pope joins ambitious Millers

Rotherham have equalled their club record transfer fee with the £150,000 signing of striker Tom Pope.

The 23-year-old has joined the Millers on a three-year contract from Crewe Alexandra.

Pope scored ten goals for the relegated Railwaymen in League One last season

"I feel that Rotherham is the place where I can build my career, so hopefully I can get some goals and help the club get promoted back to League One," he told the club's official website.

"My aim is to fight for a place in the team and if I get into the side, score some goals.

"We want to finish in the top three, that is the challenge we want to set ourselves and hopefully we can reach that target."
