New Millers deal for Brogan
01 May 2007 - 13:09:24
Teenage defender Stephen Brogan is confident Rotherham United can mount a promotion challenge next term after penning a new two-year deal with the Millers.
The 19-year-old has been a first-team regular since the turn of the year, and has now made 18 starts for the club, although his efforts failed to keep them in League One.
Brogan told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to sign for the club that I've always supported as I'm a Rotherham lad through and through.
"I've also played in midfield but I think I'm probably happier at left-back.
"It's been a difficult end to the season with relegation but hopefully we can start winning again next season and be involved in the battle to bounce straight back to League One.
"There'll be several changes to the playing personnel during the close season but it's nice to know that the squad will include several players who I've come up with through the junior ranks in the last few years so I know them well."
