Striker Drewe Broughton is hoping to earn a new contract to prolong his stay with Rotherham.
Broughton, 30, is out of contract at the end of the campaign, but is hoping his 37 appearances in all competitions this season will persuade the club to offer him a new deal.
"The important thing is that I'm enjoying my football. I came here on the back foot in many ways just after the start of the season. The manager had made all the signings and the budget had gone," he told the Rotherham Advertiser.
"I was given a contract to the end of the season and I'd like to stay. There's a real buzz about the place, the chairman is ambitious and everything is geared to go in the right direction.
"We've talked about a couple of things contract-wise, but there's still plenty of football still to be played so we'll get on with that and then see what happens."
