Moore back at Millers helm

Rotherham United have named Ronnie Moore as their new manager after Mark Robins decided to leave the club to join Barnsley earlier in the month.

It will be Moore's second spell with the Millers after he guided the club to two promotions between 1997 and 2005 before going on to manage Oldham Athletic and Tranmere Rovers.

Moore is looking forward to a new challenge, telling the club's official website: "I think I'm a better manager and that comes with experience.

"I've definitely mellowed if you like but I'm still a ranter and raver on the sidelines because that's ingrained in me. You do learn to become more composed as a manager and I've certainly done that.

"People keep talking about Ronnie Moore being long ball. I don't know where that comes from because the last time we were here we played with wingers and we got crosses in the box.

"There are times when the long ball is necessary but I want to state now that Ronnie Moore isn't a long ball manager."
