Rotherham United's 1-1 draw at MK Dons was overshadowed by a season-ending leg injury sustained by Millers youngster Stephen Brogan.
The 19-year-old suffered a double fracture of his left leg and had an operation in a local hospital on Sunday.
Millers boss Mark Robins told the Sheffield Star: "Football becomes secondary when you see something like that.
"We are going to ensure he gets the best possible treatment to get him back on the road to recovery and I'm sure he'll be back in a Millers shirt next season.
"Stephen will be a big miss for us. He's played every game but one this season and he's a local lad who loves playing for his local club.
"It's so very disappointing when there's a serious injury and all the players were upset for him as well."
