Millers snare young keeper

Rotherham United have signed goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell as cover for first-team shot-stopper Andy Warrington.

The 20-year-old O'Donnell has signed on loan for three months.

An injury to Steven Cann, and with Jamie Annerson returning to Sheffield United after his loan spell, it was essential that the Millers brought in an understudy.

The young goalkeeper has just returned from a loan spell at Unibond League side Buxton. He was awarded a contract in May 2007 by Wednesday.

However this may be the only transfer action seen at Millmoor this month.

Chairman Dennis Coleman told the club's official website: "We're second in the league, do we need anyone?

"At the moment there's no need to panic. There are always emergency loans if we need to use them."
