Rotherham United manager Mark Robins has swooped to sign Sheffield United youngster Ryan Cresswell.
The 19-year-old was snapped up before Saturday's League Two clash with Notts County and was an unused substitute in the 1-1 draw.
Cresswell has failed to make a first-team appearance for the Blades but did make 16 appearances during a loan spell with Halifax Town last term.
The defender spent the last three months of the 2006-07 campaign with the Shaymen.
