Rotherham United could have new owners as early as the end of the week, after several bidders came forward to try and rescue the stricken League Two club.
Talks with a preferred bidder are expected to take place this week, as the Millers appear set to avoid the threat of going to the wall.
Boss Mark Robins said after the 2-1 win over Dagenham Redbridge on Saturday: "It gives everyone at the club belief and hope that we can go forward.
"It's a big step along the way and now let's hope something is sorted out satisfactorily.
"I shall be seeking a meeting with the administrator, because there are things to ask and the players want questions answered."
Administrator, Jeremy Bleazard, told the Sheffield Star at the weekend: "I am very encouraged that a number of bids have come in and I will spend the next couple of days considering each one on its merits.
"I hope to begin formal discussions with a preferred bidder early next week."
