Rotherham United have failed to complete the permanent signing of Tommy Wright after being unable to agree personal terms with the Barnsley striker.
The two clubs had agreed a transfer fee for the 22-year-old on Monday, only for the deal to collapse 24 hours later.
A brief statement on the Millers' official website read: "We've been unable to agree personal terms with striker Tommy Wright and his agent.
"We are disappointed about this but we're not prepared to jeopardise the club's financial future for the sake of meeting an agent's demands.
"The search continues to strengthen the squad."
