Millers chief: Ronnie was easy choice
Stewart and his board of directors had whittled down a list of over 50 applicants to just eight and after interviewing the candidates this week, they plumped for Moore, who had been the fans' choice throughout, to replace Mark Robins. The 56-year-old returns four years after leaving the club following a successful eight-year tenure where he led the Millers to back-to-back promotions and Stewart is delighted to have him back. "We took our time, we had over 50 applicants and we got a shortlist together. Out of the shortlist there was only one that shone," said Stewart. "Ronnie ticked all the boxes and I know the fans were making noises about Ronnie. "After meeting with the eight individuals, I and the board of directors unanimously agreed Ronnie Moore was the man for the job. It was so easy to select and he earned that position, and I am pleased for the club and pleased for Ronnie."
