I owed you one - Claude

Claude Davis had by his own admission a debut to forget, but he's put that behind him and say's he'll repay the fans.
Conceeding a penalty and getting sent off before half time on your debut isnt the best way to introduce yourself to the fans, but Claude Davis's hopes that his perfomances since will go some way to repay the fans.
“We went to Bristol in a mindset that we owed them one, especially me because I was under tremendous pressure after the first game and I still blame myself for the loss. If we had had 11 men on the pitch then they wouldn't have beaten us, even if they had scored first."
“Before the game on Tuesday I had a long talk with the gaffer and he reminded me about it, which he didn't need to do because it was in the back of my head. I let him down big time and the fans were on his back."
“In training the gaffer ran me hard with the fitness coach and I couldn't argue because I'd got nothing to say. He didn't start me against Burton and we lost and then he came to me and said, listen, you owe me, repay me now."
“I remember when I got sent off I heard someone in the crowd say 'get back to Crawley.' But I always try to take a positive from a negative and use that stuff to drive myself. To be honest, as a professional, when the whistle goes you don't think about it. I've been in this game long enough to know that what matters is what happens next. What happened before you can't do nothing about. He brought me here for a reason and I hope I'm showing why.”
“So far it has been good but we haven't achieved nothing yet. I got promoted with Crawley last season and I came here because I want to do it again. Three wins out of three for me is not bad but there's 14 more games and we need at least ten more wins to get promoted.”
“I'm not going to lie, we had quality players at Crawley but there are technically better players here, The Crawley team that got promoted had a lot of heart and desire and togetherness and this team is steadily getting that. If we have that determination to go with the talent we have here then I don't see any reason why we can't do it.”
