Hudson targets Millers deal

Rotherham United midfielder Mark Hudson is hopeful of being offered a new contract to extend his stay with the League Two club.

The 28-year-old former Huddersfield Town and Chesterfield man's current deal runs out next summer, but he is enjoying life with the Millers despite the club's recent struggles.

He told The Advertiser: "I'd like to stay.

"I'm coming up to the end of my two years and hopefully the club will come into negotiations with me and open contract talks. There's a good set of lads here.

"We've just got to be optimistic and keep plugging away and finish as high as we can, but I'd definitely like to be part of the set-up here next season."

Hudson has scored 13 goals in 67 appearances for the Merry Millers.
