Rotherham United hitman Derek Holmes is set to return to the side for the League Two clash with Accrington Stanley on Saturday.

The 11-goal top scorer limped off the field less than 30 minutes into the 3-2 win over Lincoln City last weekend, suffering from an ankle injury which subsequently kept him on the bench throughout Tuesday's defeat at Bradford.

Holmes' absence left Millers' boss Mark Robins with just 17 first-team players to choose from, making Holmes' return all the more important.

The 29-year-old Scot has been one of Rotherham's stars so far this term, though since scoring a stunning hat-trick against Lincoln last month the goals of dried up.

With the Millers winning just two of their last eight games, Robins will be hoping that Holmes returns in goalscoring form.
