Holmes hails Robins impact

Rotherham United striker Derek Holmes has thanked boss Mark Robins for his recent work in trying to help the club's strikers find the net more often.

Holmes bagged a hat-trick in the 3-1 weekend victory at Lincoln City, having worked closely with Robins in the last few weeks.

He told the Sheffield Star: "The gaffer knew all about scoring goals and he got his fair share from close range.

"He's been working with us on various things and it's paying off. He's worked hard on the strikers. We've worked hard and we have gelled."

Meanwhile, Robins himself added: "Derek deserves some credit for his hat-trick, he took his goals well and did what we has been working on in training by getting in at the far post."
