Harrad returns to old club

Millers loanee Shaun Harad returns to the club where he made his name tomorrow, but he'll be looking to do well in a red shirt this time.

Harrad bagged 76 goals over a four and a half year spell with Burton and the Millers striker has already started well in his time here by netting two in his first two games.

He explained to todays Advertiser: “I still keep in touch with the lads there and I've got a good relationship with that club. I've got great memories from my time there. I got promoted with them and we had a good FA Cup run and played Manchester United. Burton is family-orientated. They keep a closeknit bunch of lads together and bring the right players in and do things right; the set-up is superb.

“They're an up-and-coming club and they're in and around the play-offs for a reason so we won't take them lightly. I'm really looking forward to it.

"They've kept a good squad together and it will be tough again but we've got the confidence to push on now. It would be nice for Rotherham and Burton to go up. I always look for their results because they're close to my heart; that's where it all started for me.”

Harrad has completed two lots of 90 minutes since arriving from Bury and spoke about his penalty against Accrington on Tuesday night after his goal in last Fridays win at Southend, adding: “I connected really well with the penalty and with a bit of luck I would have had a second but for a great save by the keeper from my header. I was just pleased to get another 90 minutes under my belt. I tried my hardest to stay on the pitch because it was only my second game in a long time.

“I felt well off it but the lads pulled me through and the gaffer has been fantastic with me.”

Andy Scott added “He wasn't as good as he was at Southend on Friday but that's down to fatigue. He was still dangerous and got in really good positions and caused people problems. He doesn't let centre-halves have a minute's rest.”
