Evans on Kearns and Nards injuries

Steve Evans says he will know more about Daniel Kearns' hamsring injury later today.

Kearns was forced off at half time last night in the 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers with a tight hamsring, and Evans says that injury will be assessed today after the reserves game with Grimsby Town which features some of last nights squad.

Evans explained: "He was feeling his hamstring a bit so we’ll have to reassess it to see whether it’s three or four weeks or just seven to 10 days.

"We certainly hope it’s just a matter of days but we’ll find that out.

Evans added: "Nardiello trained on Monday and he was just feeling his groin a bit, but we can’t take chances. He said he was feeling his groin but when Frecklington put the second one in, he ran past me!”
