Rotherham United defender Shaun Barker has returned to training and hopes to be available to face Preston North End on Saturday.
Barker has missed the Millers' last three matches because of injury, but hopes to be back in action in time to cover for Chris Swailes' impending suspension.
He told the club's official website: "I have been in full training for a couple of days now but I am still feeling the effects of the injury, although I seem to be getting stronger every day.
"It was frustrating to pick up the injury as I was enjoying playing in the centre of defence alongside Chris Swailes, but hopefully I will be fully fit when Chris is suspended."
