20 April 2010 10:11
The Millers have announced that five young players will be leaving the club. Speaking on the Official site Head of Youth Steve Thornber had bad news for five of the YT's, Emmot Parr-Gallagher, Mark Hemsley, Jacob Webster, Craig Gladwin and Mitchell Austin are all set to leave.Steve said: "Today was decision day for our second year YT's and, after discussions with Ronnie Moore, we have decided to release the five. I would like to thank them for their efforts on behalf of Rotherham United and wish them all the best for the future".The departures left room for five young players to be offered YT deals, three of which have come from the Millers Centre of Excellence."The current first year YT's have been retained and we have five new first year recruits for next season. We have taken Jack Leyden, a goalkeeper from Wigan; Joe Gaughan, a striker from Bradford; and Luke Beastall, a left-back, Alec Denton, a striker, and Liam Royles, a right-back, who are all from our Centre of Excellence."We still have space for five more first year YT's and we are looking at exit trials, CVs and listening to recommendations from other clubs. The league has finished now so we're looking to arrange some trial games to have a look at potential new players and our search will continue until the first week in October"Welcome to MillersMadHere's our LATEST Messageboard topics MillersMAD are proud sponsors of Dale Tonges home kit
