Woggy not ready to hang gloves up

Former Millers 'keeper Andy Warrington is still looking for a new club, and insists he's got a good couple of years left in him yet.

The veteran was released after the Millers promotion to League One and has since been replaced by Carlisle stopper Adam Colllin to provide competition for Scott Shearer.

Andy says he's still in the hunt for a new club to further his playing  career.

He told The Star: “I am not ready to hang my gloves up. I want to carry on playing. This is the first time in my career that I have been in this situation before and it is very strange.

“I am glad I played a lot of games for Rotherham last season so know I can still do it. I feel I can do a job somewhere.

“It does get tougher as you get older but I know some lads who probably train only a couple of days a week, and at Rotherham I didn’t miss a training session in two years.

“Andy (Dibble, Millers goalkeeping coach) played until he was about 42. Whether I want to play that long I don’t know. As long as I am enjoying it and I am fit, I will keep on playing.

“I have certainly got a good two or three years left in me", he added.
