We've got to stop giving goals away - Moore
Talking to the Advertiser, boss Ronnie Moore bemoans his sides inability to keep clean sheets. "We've got to stop giving away goals. We're inconsistent, there's no doubt about that. So are a lot of other teams—and that's why we need to make sure we win at home." he said."We had the same problem last year, with eight or nine games that we drew at Don Valley. But when you're two-up and it doesn't matter who you are playing, you have to make it count, rather then get done by sucker-punch goals." he looked back at Tuesday nights 2-2 draw against Northampton, with the Millers having gone 2 goals up, a crazy minute saw the Cobblers back level."We worked hard to get our goals and they were two fantastic ones. Then we conceded the first one after a daft free kick, when the ball was played into the box and the lad got a toe to it. Straight from the kick off they were back down our end, the ball was played inside and the boy smashed it into the back of the net.""It frustrates me more than anyone else. One minute we turn up and play the way we did against Crewe and defend the way we did and then we go out and defend like we did against Northampton.""We were 3-0 up against Burton and drew 3-3 and we were 2-0 on Tuesday and drew 2-2. There are four points we've lost that would probably have put us second in the league." "In the second half against Northampton we were hit and miss without creating too many chances and we didn't ask too many questions of the keeper. We've just to keep going and start believing that we can win games.""The frustrating thing for me is that it was more or less the side that played on Saturday.
