We need steady heads - Evans

15 February 2013 02:58
Boss Steve Evans calls for his players to keep a cool head and be patient against Chesterfield tomorrow.

He told todays Advertiser: “It is a match that the whole of the town is looking forward to and while it will be an incredible atmosphere, we have a responsibility to ensure we go about our jobs the right way.

“We need to play with commitment and passion but also keep steady heads. It is important we engage our brains and play our football.

“It is also worth remembering that we're not the only ones under pressure. Chesterfield know that if they lose then it is a case of getting ready for next season in the same division.

“We've a lot of games coming up and it's about managing the situation as we go forward. There will be weeks when we'll be overjoyed and weeks when we'll be disappointed but it's my job to make sure the players remain focussed on the job in hand.”
