We can't use DVS as an excuse
The gaffer dismisses the Don Valley pitch as an excuse. Speaking to the 'Tiser, Scott said "Don Valley is a different atmosphere but we know that and the plus side is that the pitch is the same size as every other pitch, it’s 11 v 11 and there’s a referee and two linesman." “The opposition have got to play on it and we’ve got to play on it and we have got to generate the atmosphere and do the right things to make everyone happy. Don Valley is a fantastic facility. It’s been helpful for us to have it rather than playing elsewhere." “Clearly, when we get back into the heart of Rotherham in a new stadium then it will be fantastic and if we can do that in League One it will be terrific, but in the the meantime we want to make the most of Don Valley and we can’t make excuses." “I don’t like excuses because if you look for them then you find them and this isn’t an excuse.”
